I Don't Get It

In his speech to school children Barack Obama said,
"I know that sometimes, you get the sense from TV that you can be rich and successful without any hard work -- that your ticket to success is through rapping or basketball or being a reality TV star, when chances are, you’re not going to be any of those things. "
So why are they using a basketball player (LeBron James), a reality TV star (Kelly Clarkson), and a rapper (Lil Wayne) to promote Get Schooled?

Here's the promo with Lil Wayne, who by the way, dropped out of school at 14!

So, It's easy to see why our children get the message that their ticket to success is through music or sports, none of the three celebrities went to college either. In fact, LeBron James wanted to turn pro before finishing high school but the NBA declined his request.

Clarkson was offered full scholarships to college but decided against it because she had "already written so much music and wanted to try it on her own."

Doesn't anyone at the White House know how to use Google?
