"If we are going to be successful in rebuilding our economy, our early childhood programs need to prepare our youngest children for kindergarten..., our K-12 schools need to make sure our students have all of the academic knowledge and skills that they need to enter college or the workforce, and our higher education system needs to offer whatever advanced learning students need to be successful in a career...,"In education circles this is known as a P-16 seamless educational system that tracks students from birth to their entry in the workforce. This is nothing more than social engineering that tailors education toward the needs of the state rather than the dreams of the child.
And despite his silence, I have no doubt that private and home schools will be impacted by the P-16 reforms Duncan is proposing. Hold on to your hats folks, education is now on the fast track toward national control and standards. If you don't believe me, just look at how fast Obama took over the auto industry. If you take the king's shilling, you do the king's bidding.
